Alkylation & Trans Alkylation Catalyst

Petrosadid: Alkylation & Trans Alkylation Catalyst Petrosadid: Alkylation & Trans Alkylation Catalyst

An alkylation process is used in both petroleum refineries and petrochemical companies. In petroleum refinery alkylation processes is used to transform low molecular weight alkenes to alkylate with high octane number. Alkylation of aromatics is an example for alkylation process in petrochemical company.

Both Zeolite based and acidic catalyst are used in alkylation process. It was reported that the zeolite based catalyst is safer than liquid acids due to its environmental benefits such as suppressing of production of waste residual.

A trans alkylation process is a process used for to transfer an alkyl group (methyl and ethyl groups) from an organic composition. Zeolites are common catalyst used in trans alkylation process.

Petrosadid offers wide range of Alkylation and TransAlkylation catalysts.
