SELF-CLEANING FILTERS
Self-cleaning Filters are mainly used to remove solid matter from liquid, with a degree of filtration that can vary from 35 microns up to 6000 microns.
The liquids subjected to filtration can be different: sea water, well water, groundwater, river and surface water, crude oil, fuel oil, etc.
This industrial filter uses a unique system that keeps constantly clean the filter element surface ensuring maximum filtering efficiency. During the filtration, the liquid passes through the filter elements from the inside to the outside or vice versa depending on the chosen type. During the cleaning phase a small part of clean fluid back flushes each filtering element.
This phase is managed by an automatic control system that starts and stops an electric motor. This motor opens and closes the automatic drain valve. The filter is washed without interrupting the outlet flow.
Jointly they are provided with a timer and a differential pressure switch.
This makes it possible to achieve high and uniform flows, perfect for filling operations and for continuous lines of production, with reduced operating and maintenance costs.
CARTRIDGE FILTERS FOR GASES
The cartridge filters allow the separation of solid or liquid particles from the main gas flow also and they are used in air, industrial gases or process gases purification through the use of a filtering tool (a cartridge or a set of cartridges). They allow to collect any condensation, too.
CARTRIDGE FILTERS FOR LIQUIDS
The cartridge filters for liquids are mainly used to remove the solid particles from a liquid stream.
The filtering tool consists of a set of fiber glass or polyester felt or stainless steel cartridges arranged in a pack, chosen considering various parameters such as the required efficiency, the allowed pressure loss and the type and quantity of impurities of the liquid.
This type of filter can also be used for the removal of liquid particles from another liquid, involving the installation of particular coalescent cartridges or for the removal of solid particles from the liquid stream through particle cartridges for the separation.
In the first case the dragging liquids, present in the form of mist, will settle on the cartridge fibers forming small drops that will form more consistent drops, falling towards the bottom of the filter.
In the second case the solids will settle outside of the cartridge.
DOUBLE STAGE FILTERS SEPARATORS FOR GAS
The vane pack separator allows to have a high efficiency in the separation of liquid particles inside a gas stream.
This type of filters is the best solution to the problem of the separation of liquid particles from gases or vapors, combining their high efficiency with low pressure drop, a low initial investment and minimum maintenance over time.
The gas, after entering the tank and passing through the vane pack, is divided into several sections in which it is forced to follow trajectories with numerous changes of direction, thus causing the liquid droplets to roll over the walls of the reeds, agglomerating into larger drops and precipitating for gravity.
In this way, the drops fall into the bottom of the tank, where they are collected and drained.
The separation efficiency of these devices is equal to 99.5% for the drops with 8-10 microns or greater in diameter.
Installation can be vertical or horizontal: this arrangement works well if the gas contains significant quantities of liquid.
Typically, this type of filters is used at the entrance of the installations for the treatment of fuel gas.
DEMISTER FILTERS SEPARATORS
The demister (or mist reducer) is a device inserted into the filters for a liquid and vapor separation in order to obtain the separation of liquid drops from the gas stream.
The use of the demister reduces, therefore, the residence time requested for the separation in the apparatus, and this translates into a smaller volume of the equipment and a reduction of the installation costs.
The demister filter may contain different types of filtering materials as a function of the pollutants to be removed. Furthermore, they can be designed by providing more filtration stages with progressive abatement in order to obtain a total air purification.
The main area of application is the removal of oil mists in the mechanical industry.
CYCLONE SEPARATORS
The cyclone filters separators are mainly used for the disposal of solid impurities from the gas. The main applications are the wellheads and the placement at the entrance of compressor stations, distribution systems and many other industrial processes.
This type of filters allows to combine high separation efficiency to a constant load loss and low maintenance costs.
ABSOLUTE FILTERS SEPARATORS
The absolute filters separators are the ideal solution when you need to eliminate small liquid particles from gases and mists.
These separators are used most frequently for the removal of oil mists, but they are also used on process lines of chlorine, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The absolute separation usually combines two different phases: the first phase contemplates the use of a vane pack or a cyclone in order to remove all traces of liquid or mist.
CARTRIDGE/BASKET DUPLEX FILTERS
Duplex filters are composed of two simple filters joined together by a valve which allows the continuous running of a filter while the other is in a situation of "stand-by".
In this way the maintenance phase is achieved without the need for interruptions.
Filtering elements of each filter can be represented, depending on customers’ needs, by cartridges or baskets. The main areas of applications are the petrochemical industry, chemical plants, systems for water and gas treatment and refining plants.
HIGH PRESSURE CARTRIDGE/BASKET FILTERS
The high-pressure filters are usable for liquids and gases up to a maximum pressure of 1600 bar. Filter elements are customized according to client specifications.
VACUUM CARTRIDGE/BASKET FILTERS
Vacuum filters are usable for liquids and gases up to a maximum depression of 5 Bar. Filter elements are customized according to client specifications.
MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION
The construction materials can be different i.e. Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Special Austenitic Ferritic Steels such as Duplex, Super Duplex, Nickel alloys and Titanium Gr. 2. Also the dimensions are fully customizable.
STANDARDS & CODES
All filters can be supplied according to the most common international standards: ASME Sec. VIII, EN13445, BS BS500, AD2000 and can be tested according to PED2014 / 68 / EC requirements, supplied with CE mark and USTAMP as needed.
